I trust you more than I trust Wikipedia. I don't follow name chaanges too much I guess. It's good to know when you are crossing and coming up with hybrids. I predict a lot of noids in the future and a lot of incorrect names.

Ohhhhhh that Vanda. What is it?
My vandas have decided to bloom also. I have a Roberts Delight 'Garnet Beauty' which I bought in 2004. Several years ago it blew off my deck in a wind storm. I was able to find it back, it was out on the golf course and very rough looking and sun burned. I should have tossed the whole thing but I bought it because of the name. I have a son Robert and I feel a bit sentimental about it.
After caring for it for 6 years it has finally decided to reward me with two spikes. I watch it every day waiting for the blooms. The plant looks like trash but it has nice looking spikes. Like they say, a watched pot never boils. It is taking it's sweet time. open, open, open........

Marilyn, I lost the tag and I remember it being one of my first orchids. I also remember Robert's Delight but I'm not sure about the 'Garnet Beauty'. I'm always happy to see it doing well on that peeling gumbo limbo tree.
