Hey John,

As clarification, the C. Shenandoah did not go to the show (the one hubby revived) as the BG folks cut the blooms by mistake.

The BG plant that won the double award is Enc. stellata 'Memphis' CCM/AOS CHM/AOS (82 & 83 points). Cert of Cultural Merit and Cert of Horticultural Merit. CHM was awarded because they thought it worthy of being a stud plant. Their comment was "Commended for floriferousness, form and color." 193 flowers.

I don't have a great photo of it as I didn't have a backdrop but our official photographer is going to give me a copy of the official pictures. I'll post one as soon as I get it. The Botanic Gardens folks were thrilled that one of theirs got awarded. I'm so proud of hubby as the Enc. was near starving for water when he started volunteering with the orchids.

My feet haven't touched the ground yet.

well poo I remember you saying that now ...but he should get some kind of credit just for the excellent community spirt and the great work he did ...LOl the Ob award for excellent volumnteer work ....good going

Congrats! I always think of those "mutts" as having the best genetic mixes, and yours sure is a beauty.
