Today is MLKing Day, which I think is an important day to stop and remember the man. My daughter goes to Boston University, where Dr. King received his PhD. In front of the school's chapel is an amazing sculpture of blackbirds taking flight, cast in honor of the man. Please remember to tell a friend that you love him or her today!
Anyway, it also means I'm off from the library. So I watered, cleaned, and generally messed with the plants in my grow room, then decided to take pics of some of the flowers currently here for enjoyment. I hope that you enjoy the pics! All are Phals, and all are repeat bloomers.
First is a Phal. NoID rescue, given me by Peach State Orchids:
The next is a "Black" Phal. I bought at Peach State. It's a NoID because I lost the name tag:
Phal. Nobby's Amy, in possibly the worst photo I've taken in years:
Phal. Lava Glow, given to me for Father's Day about a decade ago by that same daughter in Boston:
Phal. equestris v. alba, with one flower not yet fully open, and a second photo to show the keiki at the end of the inflorescence:
Phal. equestris:
Phal. Be Tris:
Phal. amabilis:
Phal. (Fortune's Buddha x Sara Lee):
Phal. (Fortune's Buddha x Brother Pumpkin):
And, finally, Dtps. Minho's Princess:
