Your plants are all beautiful. How nice it must be to love orchids and be able to grow them in the natural state.

I'm jealous Uly that you could easily post pics specially beautiful pictures like that. For some reason I can't upload.

Anyway, I don't see tree ferns in your garden I recommend you add one or two. He he it is a good orchid mount as well. Do you have osmunda ferns? I'm looking for that one until now.

---dont you have a photobucket or imagecave account? Or what is the usual problem that you encounter when posting pics online? Maybe we can talk about it through yahoo messenger.

I love tree ferns and tried growing them a number of times but my garden is still too dry for them. And since my fieldwork will come fullblast next month i won't be able to take good care of it as i wanted to. Treeferns are kinda high-maintenance for me. That's why i'm giving all the TLC now before my work resumes.

with regards to osmunda ferns its everywhere. in the show there's osmunda fiber, in baclaran too. What type of osmunda fern are you talking about?

anyway, hey i am still holding on to your promise that we will tour the garden centres in silang cavite. ok

see you soon.

Godbless

Thanks Uly for the reply. Hmm I have not created a photobucket yet. Once I find time I'll create one and I'll give you a shout if I need help.

Oh ok. Yes tree ferns needs lots of moisture or rather water. I have 2 right now and are still in a huge seedling bag with moist retentive medium.

I'm referring to osmunda fern plants maybe you're referring to the osmunda fern fibers. At any rate I'm not actually familiar with the looks of an osmunda fern plant.

Sure thing on the trip to Silang Cavite. I'll be available Monday next week...he he we are on a forced vacation leave as part of cost cutting of the company. Semicon business is in a downturn at the moment.

George you can even use pictures on your facebook profile. Those pics I've posted on some threads are linked to my facebook account. Using Mozilla Firefox, open the album containing the pic you want to post then make sure that you open that pic on another tab (press middle mouse button instead of left click) then on new tab with the pic right click on image and select Copy Image Location. Paste the copied link to "Insert Image" button.

Mabuhay!

Hey folks, i would like to share with you a blog about the Kadayawan festival where our National Orchid the "Waling-Waling" will always be the queen of vandas.

http://pinoytrees.blogspot.com/2011/...ng-waling.html

PS
[/I][/I][/B]KADAYAWAN is a Bagobo term for celebration of a bountiful harvest, Kadayawan is derived from the aboriginal word "dayao" which means good or "madayaw," things that are of great value or is profitable, superior or beneficial.

Enjoy.

Default Needing help in identification and an Orchid

Mabuhay!

Hi everyone. I would like to seek your help in identifying this plant, the one with a star-shaped leaves. It's usually sold in department stores and considered to be a lucky plant. I would like to know what it is. I thank you in advance for any response.

A Cleisostoma Uraiense. This baby makes me smile, she's quite temperamental. First time to bloom in my care and its really a very slow grower. The flowers just makes me laugh.: laugh:

Enjoy and Godbless
