I have, say, 90% hanging, SP. But, I still keep three benches, one for the plants in bloom, one for the seedlings in small pots and a third for the large and heavy pots!

Yes, Sheridan, I enclose the plants mostly to protect them against the very cold winds from the south. I don't use any heating system. During the winter days, even though the sun is very inclined and much weaker than in the summer, it is enough to provide a warm environment to the enclosed plants. But, at night the temperatures drop hard!

Your bench is breathtakingly lovely!!! What pleasure you must get when you walk in your greenhouse.
It does seem strange to read that you're headed into Spring time and all the while it's getting colder and colder here.
Good for you!! and Brrrrr! for us!

Thanks Gloria and Debs, I really am in heaven when I'm in my orchid's company! My wife uses to say to our friends that my grh is where I find God... and I must say that that's true!

My bench, Nov-09
Mauro - love those Laelia purpuratas! Before I joined the Orchid Board I'd searched Flickr for photos of L. purpurata and of course found your photostream with all the wonderful purpurata pictures. I'm a Flickr member as well

I took a tour through your nice gallery, Golforchid! Love those Disas! It is a pity that I can't grow them here!
