Nice slippers Naoki! I like whoever's display photo #2 is.
You know, I think it's a rule that you have to buy at least one plant, preferably many, when you go to an orchid show.

You know, Terri. I always look forward to going to orchid shows, kind like a kid in a candy store. This time I was a bit disappointed. Nothing followed me home.
I bought Trichoglottis through Ebay after I go home. Does it count?

That's a shame. Were there not very many vendors, or did they just not have anything interesting?
I think the Tricho. will count. We wouldn't want you banned from future orchid shows!

There were only 4 or 5 vendors. No regulars such as Briggs Hills, Sorella Orchids ( Nenita is moving to CA), Clackamas Orchids.
I am trying to remember what the next show in the state would be.

I thought I heard Clackamas was going out of business. I hope Nenita still comes to our spring show. She always brings such nice plants. Where in CA is she moving?

Thanks for the eye candy. If I were you I would have found something to add to my collection. The orchids just seem to jump into my hands.

Yeah. It is sad. What I know about Nenita is that she has been communting between Oregon and San Diego, CA for her job for years. She has had her greenhouse in Oregon. Now that she found keeping greenhouses in CA is much less expensive than in Oregon. She is moving all her plants down there. She even mentioned that she lost LOTS of plant last snow storm we had in Oregon. I had such a good bargain from her when I visited her in June.

Awww, and here I was in dumb college on the wrong side of the mountains! I'm a horticulture major, I could have been "studying" the orchids.
So Sorella is moving, huh? I only saw them once, at the Seattle Home and Garden Show, which is apparently no longer running. They had great plants and were so friendly. I hope after that last winter they still have some Phal. fasciata, though I won't be ordering one for a while (spent my orchid budget for the year).
I like your choice of the Tricho. I thought about buying one of those, but decided against it for some crazy reason (I obviously wasn't thinking clearly).
Now that I have a car at school with me, I think I'm going to try to make the Spokane orchid show this spring. I probably won't have anything follow me home, like you, but one never knows.
