Naoki, I think WUP was supposed to be this weekend but it got canceled for some reason. They rotate the show between Eugene, Roseburg, and Coos Bay. This year it was supposed to be in Coos Bay. Don't know what happened but our guy from RVOS who was going to take plants over said someone called him and said it was off.
Evan now that you have transportation we should be seeing you at more shows!

The Trichoglottis is awesome and I also enjoyed all of the good pictures of the Paphs.
I just received a group of miniatures that I ordered from Clackamas and they were all prime and delivery was extremely fast.

Evan, what I know about Nenita is that she will be attending some of Oregon and Washington's shows. She just moved her plants to California and will still be commuting between Oregon and Washington. I am sure we will see her around. She did not show up Oregon Orchid Society spring show just because there was a minor conflict.
Do you remember Sky Island Orchids, Bill and Linda Mitchell? Unfortunately, almost all their plants got frozen during the snow storm last winter. Linda told me that she retired after that and have to watch Bill with toothpicks. ( That's how he pollinated his plants. )

I also attended the show - but on Sunday afternoon - and I was also surprised how small the show was compared to when I visited 3-4 years ago. Always worth the visit though regardless - and the coast weather and drive was fabulous. Here are a few pics to add to Naoki's.
I usually purchase at least one plant at every show - sort of a self made rule - but the available plants appeared to be pretty picked over by the end of the show period by Sunday afternoon?! Oh well - I really don't have much room anyway......
Just to confirm about Clackamas - yes, David is in training for another job and will only be using his orchid business as a secondary business via internet sales and drop ins. BTW - I visited him a month or so ago and got some great bananas from his orchid greenhouse (to eat!).

It looks like a Coelogyne, and a very nice one at that.

Mayres
I enjoyed your pictures. I tried to zoom onto the last picture to find the name. It only blurred the tag. Whatever the name is it sure is a beautiful, and large, Masdevalla.

I believe it is Masd. barlaeana 'Harold'. Here is a close-up that I took
A show volunteer was saying that the owner of the plants in this display doesn't believe in dividing plants and just lets them grow into specimens. The Phrag Grande was just amazingly huge and beautifully grown (first picture above). Here is a close-up of that one
I'll add a few others too

Well that's good. I can't say I'd wan't to do all that commuting, but if she is willing more power to her! At least she'll save a little with a greenhouse in California instead of Washington.
Terri: You might see me. It depends on how far away the show is. I'm not prepared yet to do an overnight trip for an orchid show (scandalous I know! ). I'm on a college budget, and speaking of college it also depends on how busy I am. GAAAHHHH! At this rate I won't make it to an orchid show until I'm 30! My school friends wouldn't understand, but I know my fellow orchid addicts understand my pain.
Sue: That's great! The last I had heard was that the Seattle Flower Show was finished. Of course I won't make it this year anyways, since I'll be in school, and across the state.
Mayres: Great pictures, thanks for sharing! I especially like the pleurothallid in the last picture!
