Monday morning blooms 9/14/09
WOW!! What a beautiful morning here in the Chicago area, and the blooms make it even better. ENJOY...Jim.

Hey Jim, They're looking good. That phrag has the same sort of coloration as a Paph. delenatii.

Wow, KILLER spots on that Petite Stars! Is that a seedling or mericlone? Very nice, Jim.
I have one (but with L. aurea, now that it's a separate species I'm not sure if it's still Petite Stars), and it's just popping it's sheaths. Mine is yellow with smaller spots. Nice but I like yours more I think.

Wow! they are all beauties. It would be difficult for me to pick a favorite but I lean towards Haraella retrocalla.

Yeah, when L. rubescens var. aurea was still considered a variety of rubescens, mine was just a yellow form of Pettite Stars. But now that var. aurea is considered its own species (Laelia aurea), the parentage is technically different. Kind of like the whole Phal violacea/bellina situation.
If you ever have a division to spare, put me at the top of the list. I'll give you good trade credit for that gem.
