Some of you would have seen the Victorian International Orchid Fair pictures I posted yesterday. These are the plants I brought home (pictures below) - these are all seedlings:

P. bellatulum x villosum ??????? This cross is named twice..#1. P. Allertonense #2. P. Duncan.
I think the first one is the accepted name. Why buy this?

Yeah it's an odd cross Roy, good point. It sounded interesting to me, it may not have any potential but the outcome will be worth discussing.

And hopefully it will grow cool.....although intermediate is more likely.

I just looked on OrchidWiz. That looks like it will be interesting to say the least. The original cross was made in 1897. Can't wait for pictures!

Nice selection of plants! Looks like you have a soft spot for anything with Soph. in it.

Yes Soph is very important as they grow cool outside in winter and very warm in summer. So I try and get crosses that can take temps at the extreme range. So far it's working for me.

Holy cow, I only know of a couple of these, but its definitely is a nice gathering there. I can't go to those shows or events, as my wallet and I tend to disagree later. Mortgage or Orchids... hmmm sometimes I'm torn. Either way, nice haul
