A Beautiful Nodosa Hybrid
This is Blc Keowee 'Newberry'. The cross is C. Lorraine Shirai x B. nodosa and it has the largest lip I have seen in any nodosa hybrid. The petal spread is 5 1/2" and the lip is 2 1/2". I have another variety 'Mendenhall' that has an AM but I think this flower is much better.
The second and third flower is Epc. Purple Glory 'Moir's Pride' AM-AOS that is similar to Epc. Middleburg that I recently posted but this flower has a much more vivid colorful. I guess it didn't get an AM for nothing.
Number four and five is Slc. Kagaribi Dawn x B. nodosa that is blooming for the first time in a two inch pot. The flower seems large for the small size of the plant and the petals open red and change to orange, to yellow.
