Becca

The first one is well named and you have bloomed it beautifully. I want to put it on my wishlist. How big is it and is it fragrant? You probably know that luteola smells best before 6 am. so you have to set your alarm clock

Hi Sun rm N.E.! I'm currently out of town for the weekend, but when I return I'll try and get it's approximate size for you. I would say it is about medium sized....it's definately not one of the huge cattleya's or it wouldn't fit in my orchidarium...lol. I didn't detect any fragrance and the bloom only lasted about two weeks if that so I didn't have a chance to wake up early enough to see if it smelled...lol.

Hi Becca,
Congrats on your beautiful blooms...and I think you can take credit for the bulbo, especially if it didn't spike for a few weeks after you got it. Your culture was good enough to have it produce the spikes and blooms...if not for your good care, we wouldn't be enjoying it now.

So much for my opinion....

Thanks David! Your opinion is very kind! I'm just starting to grow bulbo's, masdie's and dracula's, so i'm keeping my fingers that I won't kill any. I probably should have mastered the other orchid's I have first...lol....but I just couldn't resist!
