Default Visit to Kew Gardens - Pics Part 1

On Friday I visited Kew Botanical Gardens in London (UK) and amongst the wide range of wonderful plants they had several orchids in bloom.

I just wanted to share my pics because I enjoyed them so much, I know you will too.

Part 1 is here, but I have to go home now (been stuck in the office till almost 10pm waiting for hubby to finish work) so I'll post the rest later.

Paph Lowii

Bulbophyllum Skeatianum

Paph Druryi (Hybrid)

Paph Delenatii

Paph NOID

The plant labeled Paph druryi is probably a hybrid of druryi x something like insigne.

You saw some really great plants there! Would you believe it, when I was in London last spring it didn't even occur to me to go to Kew gardens! What was I (not) thinking??

Default Kew Gardens !

Nice pictures. I'm sure it was a wonderful visit.

It's been a few years since I was in the UK, but I always try to get out to Kew when I'm there. It's just a wonderful place.

I'm glad you like my pics.

Kew is a wonderful place, not just for the orchids... they have a lot of 'ordinary plants' as well.

Their 'Palm House' had several (non-flowering) orchids growing on the palms which I also took pics of. I saw those before I got to the room dedicated to orchids. It's the first time I've seen them growing in trees.
