Nichole, thank you. Until June last year, 95% of my collections were paphs. Then I started growing Vandas/Ascdas. I just like them.
For some reason, since phals did not like the growing condition, I never bought them. However, they are growing really well this year. The one in the picture and other few I have are from my friends. They would go back to the owners' once they bloom.

Very nice pictures Naoki. I am new to the world of photography too. I got a new camera in the fall and it was such a treat to be able to take decent photos and post them on the forum.
Nice job!

Jerry, the one thing I like most for this camera is to just "push" the botton and take a great picture for me.
Figuring out the functions is completely different since I don't usually read the instruction.

What I got was a Nikon D-40 and press a button is about all you have to do with it. The camera is capable of doing much better but like you, I haven't taken the time to go back and re-read all of the instructions to help me improve. I keep telling myself that I have to do that.

Thanks, Christina. This plant is HUGE with approx 2' in leaf span. There will be 4 flowers. I will post the picture when it is fully bloomed.

This is hard. I can't tell if it's the picture quality that makes these photos so great or, the subject matter.
These 'chids are gorgeous and the lighting, perfect!
Glad you shared. Enjoy your new camera!
