Thanks Sandy & Bill

Sandy, I'm glad you like the last phal

I wasn't going to post the picture, I thought it looked kinda off. The color is very deep wine red color I feel the photo shows more of a blood color. Sometimes you just have to see a bloom in person to get the real effect.

Bill, I was abit concerned about the color buds, though it mght be a missed ID and not what the tag says.
But its in bloom now the color is simply beautiful, a lavendar.
It'll be difficult to get some photos those flowers are tiny in size - even smaller then the twinkles. Not sure if the camera can do it, I'll give it a whirl .

Oooo! Can't wait to see the appletonianum in bloom. I almost bought one of those last year, but restrained myself because I was under the impression it would get quite big. Course that didn't stop me from buying a hirsuitissium seedling! LOL

wow! you grew it from a seedling? They do take their time! When I ordered a medium Paph. Peppermint, I didn't think it would be as small as it was!

LOL Terri - sometimes you have to give up to get more
Oh well anyways, this paph is not large. It's been in the same pot for almost 3 years. Its not a mini , but very compact in size, I would think most growers would have room for it.

Cam, seedlings are wonderful if you want to watch them grow up
Or ... perhaps money is the issue. Seedlings are nice for ppl who want to start something new (See how they grow?!) But you better have the patience, they do take along time before they bloom.
Most of my collection are from seedlings and I meen "small". Because of this I haven't seen up 85% of my orchids even bloom.

2009 will be a wonderful year for me. I will finally get to see many of them bloom since they have reached NBS or bloom size. Its been a haul, lol!

Thank you Rosie
Bill, this plant isn't too big in size - tighly clustered bulbs, not a rambler -- tallest leaf stands almost 9 inches.
Gee it smells nice

Gloria they are all very beautiful !!!! I really like them all. I've got an Onc. Twinkle which is a cross from the species you've got and can't wait for the buds to open. They are very cute little plants.
