Default Greenhouse Tour

I'm still practicing with my new camera and as you can tell by these pictures, I need to practice more!!

But maybe you can tell a little about my night time tour of the gh.

Thanks for looking!

Deb, are these from your greenhouse? These are gorgeous. I didn't take notice of the picture quality though...I was too busy drooling.

I agree they are beautiful.... as you asked about your photos... while I don't know anything about your new camera, I'd say at first glance, it is in "auto" mode and therefor the focus is reading the darkness behind the flowers or whatever but as you look at the pics they are out of focus. If it (camera) has a selection for manual focus and auto aperture, I think you'll be taking the pics you want...

Deb, beautiful blooms! About the pics. Look for the macro feature on your camera. Mine has a litte flower icon. That will let you get those really up close shots without the blur.

Thanks Sandy. Yes, they are blooming in the greenhouse. I had several surprises after getting the frozen door open for the first time in a week!

My camera is a Kodak ZD8612. I wanted it because of the 12X zoom on it since my old camera has very little.

Yes, I had it in auto mode but it does have manual setting. I have loads and loads to learn about it.

Terri, I've tried shooting in the macro mode, that's what I use on my old Olympic, but the flash on this one is so bright, it obliterates the pictures.

Hopefully, I'll learn how to use it soonly.
