Default 3 in bloom now

Some current bloomers, from left to right (plant first, then bloom)

Masdevallia mejiana. Had this one about 9 months now . . . first blooms. Only one bloom out now, but 19 more spikes in various stages, I guess I just couldn’t wait to post. Most of my Masdies are potted, but I have a couple that are mounted (this is one). They are doing so well, that I’m thinking of converting more of them to mounts.

Trichocentrum tigrinum. The Haraella retrocalla next to it is for scale, so you can see the bloom size. I’ve had this little guy for about 2 ½ years. It put out spikes 3 times before, and every time, I knocked it over and broke the spikes. I finally got into a spot where it isn’t so vulnerable (at least it hasn’t taken a fall in quite a while).

Tuberolabium quisumbingii. I’ve had this one for about 1 ½ years, and it has bloomed once before. It seems to like my conditions, and has two very hearty spikes beginning bloom now, and a third one just beginning to grow. Each individual bloom is about ¼ inch wide, and it looks like there will be several dozen per spike (probably not all open at once though).

These are all warm/intermediate growers. I don’t detect any scent from any of them.

Ed

All three are lovely Ed! My favorite is the Masdevallia! But I really like the Tuberolabium as well! Great growing!

Very nice collection. I love when I seen a new one blooming for the first time. Of course, that's why we grow orchids, for the flowers, eh??

Wonderful! I love those Masdevallia mejiana flowers. Somehow I think that one is going to end up on my orchid shopping list.

Yeah, the Masdie jumps out at me too. Maybe that's because I just can't grow them!

Well done, Ed. I wish my quisumbingii would bloom! It has three large spikes, but just won't do anything.
