Misc Blooms
Some currently in bloom, left to right:
• Dendrobium Ise ‘Yayoi’
• Psychopsis versteegianum
Had to take the Psychopsis picture in the greenhouse. The 3 foot plus spike is threaded through several other plants, and would probably break if I tried to extricate it for a portrait.
• Tolumnia Golden Sunset
• Tolumnia Pink Deluxe
I just love these little guys, and always enjoy seeing everyone else’s Tolumnia picture posts.
• Lc. Marie Barnes ‘Brightest Orange’
My late mother’s favorite. She just couldn’t believe there are Orange orchids. This is a good-sized older plant, and usually has 4-6 bloom clusters. They do well as cut flowers too.
• Slc. Gila Wilderness
Another one that’s immovable, due to size. This is the “grandpa” of my greenhouse . . . in an 18” pot, probably15-20 leads (difficult to count, it’s so dense). A nice flower, but it doesn’t hold itself up over the foliage, so many blooms are crowded in with the leaves and often can’t spread out properly. I had to drag this one out for it’s picture. We usually cut the blooms as soon as they begin to open, bring them inside and “vase them” so we can see them, and they generally hold up for a week or two.

Ed...more beauties from Arizona. Bravo!
While they are all beautiful, I particularly love the Lc. Marie Barnes...and the Tolumnia Golden Sunset also.
