Yes its a hybrid, one of many that a made in New Zealand and Masdevallias are easy to grow in most partsof New Zealand, but are reluctant to flower in warm houses.

Both beautiful Masda, but the masdie is outstanding! I have a few temp tolerant hybrids but they aren't nearly as stunning as this one is! Nice growing!
