Proscyclia Green Hornet
This was part of a bigger plant. I thought it was finished blooming, so I divided it. While dividing, one bulb broke off (by itself), so I potted it. About a month later, now that the rest of the plant has long been done blooming, this lonely little bulb....well, big bulb....put out a spike!

You should see the rest of the plant, it has a couple of bulbs that aren't much smaller than my wrist! Oh, and I do have a few to trade...if anyone's interested, PM me. |

Nice going Jasen. These kind of surprises are the best.
I can't figure out why my Green Hornet looks different than everyone else's I've seen? It looks like it has more of the other parent, Enc trulla . I've yet to see one, like mine.  |

I have a Green Hornet but not nearly as big. I have mine in spag. What is yours planted in? Hard to tell from the picture

It's cool alright. I have heard it referred to as the "Octopus" orchid. Kindda' looks like one, eh?
