Default MY HAUL FROM THE ORCHID SHOW....

Well, it just so happens that the West Fla. Orchid Society decided to hold an orchid show right on my way home from work, in Largo, Fla.....on payday!! Today was the first day, so I got a fresh shot at the vendors! I forgot to take my camera to work with me this morning, so sorry.....no pics. However, I did pick up some picture worthy 'chids. I got a NBS C. leopoldii 'Mendenhall', a beautiful V. coerulea,

and of course....another butterfly! Psychopsis Mariposa var alba 'Green Valley', with two spikes

Then, I had to get out of there....or I was really gonna spend some money!!

Great choices Jasen. That Psychopsis is outrageous, fantastic and very trippy. I bought my first one last month because of your 'butterfly' post. I won't get blooms from it for another 1-2 yrs. though. I think I need to buy another one, blooming sized this time, maybe a Mariposa.

It's always a great day when you bring home new orchids, isn't it! I had a Bulbo day today with 2 newbies so my day was great too.

Enjoy all your new beauties!

I totally agree! I love the coerulea, but the butterfly is my favorite. I went into the shadehouse last night, because my friend wanted to see it. I have already mounted it, so it's hanging in mid-air. Anyway, the whole shadehouse was dark, but the light from the house was shining right on the two Psychopsis flowers....they looked like they were glowing!!! That bright yellow flower refracted the light so well, it nearly lit up that whole area! It was simply amazing!
