Trip to Peach State Orchids in Woodstock, GA
I went to visit family near Atlanta last weekend, so of course I made a side trip to the only orchid grower I could find in the area. It was a really nice place with a very helpful lady working there. First thing when you walk in the green house is a giant Vanda. About 15' tall including the roots. V. Rothschildiana 'Blue Ribbon' FCC/AOS. See . I got a couple little things that were missing from my collection: Onc twinkle and Onc Sharry Baby. Then I saw the cutest Masde so I got 2. I have a feeling that I will be killing this plant (not looking good already). But it was so cute! I will be looking for help on these in a different thread. Here are the pics!

Susie,
It looks like you had a successful orchid outing. Congrats on your new chids.
You should know that it isn't wise to stand next to a beautiful vanda when taking pictures...it takes the focus off of your beautiful smile... ...and confuses people.

Wow, that vanda is amazing! I want! Maybe in like 10 years, one of mine might be somewhat close to that...nah, probably not!

I also went to the "new" Peach State Orchids. "New" because there are new owners. They had a great selection of Phals, Oncids, Paphs and were getting in some great looking exotics. Bought 4 orchids, all mature and with great spikes. Will definitely go back.

I wish I could keep a masda alive. I gave up trying after about 3 or 4. They don't like my growing conditions, but I sure like them.
I love that vanda, especially the color.

I'm finding myself in the same situation with masdies...love 'em, but they don't love me! Haven't killed all of them yet, but it looks like I'm trying really hard to...
You got some very nice plants!
