Calendar photos
I got so inspired by the calendar contest that I started searching through my photos for an entry. It was a tough choice, and I decided to post my "finalists" here for everyone to look at, since they won't be in the calendar (well maybe my one entry???)
The photos are, left to right:
Angcm. sesquipedale
Bl. Morning Glory
Blc. Chinese Jade 'Marco Polo'
Blc. Ports of Paradise 'Emerald Isle'
Calanthe sylvatia
Phaius tankerville
Ryncholaelia digbyana
C. Picasso 'Elmhurst' x L. purpurata v. alba 'The Doves'
These have all been good bloomers for me (none of them blooming NOW) over the last 4 to 6-7 years.
The last one was my submission. I like the picture, and it is one of my favorite plants too. The blooms are good-sized (about 5+ inches across), there are three on each inflorescense and it is an older, larger plant that has had as many as 25 blooms at once. It is really spectacular when in full bloom.

For the calendar, hasn't it been specified that the plants must be species only??
