as far as I know cym bicolor and cym aloifolium are two different species.
aloifolium has striations across the lip with yellow under tones. while bicolor has a solid burgandy lip with yellow spotting. the petals and sepals also seem to have more of the burgandy color. i have seen aloifolium that has almost no burgandy on the petals or sepals and bicolor with almost solid burgandy petals and sepals but in the end its always the lip that defines them. next time they bloom look to see if the lips are spoted or striated.
here is a pic of my aloifolium next to a bicolor
can anyone else chime in???
