Default Look who's blooming today!

Over the weekend two of my Phals opened, both among my favorites. Phal cornucervi, which though a newer plant in the collection, represents one of the very first orchids I ever owned. The seemingly ubiquitous Phal Mini Mark 'Holmes' is simply one of the more beautiful small Phal hybrids I've ever seen, Please take a look!

By the way, don't believe anyone who says cornucervi is unscented. It's slight but there.

Very nice blooms! The cornu cervi has a very interesting looking spike. I'm not that familiar with this species. It looks like maybe those other little nubbins will become flowers?

cornucervi has a kind of odd spiking habit, at least in my experience. It'll bloom a couple-three flowers, then the spike may grow a bit, and a few more flowers, or it may branch off and then flower more. so yes, there are now other little nubbins which are going to develop into flowers, but where the spike goes from there is anybody's guess. This particular plant is blooming for the first time so I really don't know what sort of habit it will follow.
