I'm impressed by the beauty of your orchid. Could you share more about its care requirements? Specifically, I'm interested in its watering schedule, light needs, whether you use fertilizer, and if you prune the blooms after they close.

I love the moss on the mount too. Amazing presentation all around!

(ok I just looked at the awarded ones and they are pretty insane. Soo many flowers, but I still think yours is the perfect presentation. I could stare at it all day!)

With Pleurothallids especially, I don't trim old spikes until I am sure that they are really done - many bloom sequentially from old spikes, somtimes over a period of many months, and I certainly don't want to cut the source of future flowers! When truly done, the old spikes are brown and brittle, just snap off. Let the plant tell you...

Hello first of all thank you, I don't do anything too special to this orchid other than keeping it moist and almost never dry out. Specklinia grobyi is one of the very forgiving pleurothallis, enduring both extreme sides of the temperature for a short period of time. It's the green house that does most of the work keeping humidity and airflow at constant pace.
Light is relatively on the lower side, and I fert sparsely with mini orchids. Less than 80PPM once every month then I immediately flush/wash the mount 30 min later to reduce salt build up. Like Roberta said, I only cut the spike when it dried up.
