Current Blooms in The Pretty Spot

Although the season of Fall is quickly approaching, it's still deep in hot summer weather here in my neck of the woods. In fact, we've been experiencing scorching temperatures (90s up to feel-like temps in the low 100s) almost daily. Humidity has continued to be high in the evenings as well.

Most of my orchids are loving it, though. The garden is teeming with buds, sheaths and new spikes right now. Here are a few pics of some current blooms. Many of them are fragrant, too

Orchids are really loving the heat! Maybe not great for people... but your shady "grove" looks like a great place to sit with a book and a tall, cool drink.

You sure called it, Roberta! When I was still teaching, I would spend part of my weekends working on lesson plans, etc. out in my garden - in the peace and quiet with a tall, cool drink nearby. Sanctuary.
