Paph. micranthum

Took a few years on the windowsill but finally re-bloomed this one. One of the wildest-looking paphs in my opinion. micranthum means "small flower", but reportedly the original description may have been based on an immature bud. The giant bulbous pouch is NOT small!

from one $ to another...we love our micrathum! they are such cool flowers. not sure how you feel, but the micranthum was one of the most difficult flowers to photograph. the detail in the pouch was impossible to pick up.

thanks t$! I'm still using an old point and shoot, got an SLR but still haven't had the time to learn it yet! Love the micranthum, nothing quite like it! Also the hybrids it makes are almost universally wonderful
