Cool Rhynchostylis Gigantea "Orange"

This is my Rhynchostylis Gigantea that just bloomed. It has taken about two years to bloom since I got it. It is so easy to take care of and I highly recommend it!!!

I wish I saw more people growing these. I grow them inside my home inside a small greenhouse and they are so easy for me. It's quite drought tolerant, doesn't mind my tap water like the cattleyas do, and for me it is easy to get the temps it likes. I haven't flowered mine yet as they are still too young, but I've smelled them at the local nursery and boy is it weird! Congrats on your beautiful blooms.

Ya the smell you definitely have to get used to. I didn't like it but now I do!!! It grows so well in my conditions also and I just love them. However they are on the pricey side when they get large. Thanks
