Epidendrum is such a huge genus... a matter of finding the ones that grow under your conditions. I grow Epi. porpax "on" rather than "in" a basket with some sphagnum... it forms a mat. That one and Epi gnomus (similar) grow outside for me but could grow warmer. Epi schlecterianaum, discolor neoporpax look similar but grow warmer - need GH. So... actually, I suspect that there are some in this group that would grow fine for you.
