The end of summer is approaching, kids are back in school, , and a new page of blooming orchid species in southern California - from me and my friends.

That Neocogniauxia monophylla is pretty cool. Pretty wild to imagine it's more closely related to Pleurothallidae than Laelinae.
The Epi. nocturnum here have the annoying habit of self pollinating before they ever even open up. Nice to see that they're not all like that.
