Default July Blooms

July has been a busy month and my plants have been neglected badly.... but orchids are tough!

Cattleya iricolor - I've been on a low cholesterol diet but the smell of these blooms (cured meat to smoked salmon) made me crave unhealthy things. Unfortunately, my doctor will not understand what I mean (but the flowers, doc. the flowers!). The smell is quite strong all day.

First blooms on Cattleya harrisoniana. The blooms opened light pink but because saturated over a few days.

Cattleya mossiae 'Willowbrook' blooming again. Power bloomer!

Stanhopea jenischiana is doing something.... and now the spike is stalled.

A Dahlia 'Fleurel' opening up... it's humongous!

Jeff, that Stan. looks quite normal to me as mine are in that stage as well. Too bad blooms don't last as long as developing buds take to pop. Super genera to me!

I won't say that it's enjoyable...? But it's very interesting. Ecuagenera has some!

Jeff those are all gorgeous! I'm ready for my George King to wake up and start growing - and wow, that Willowbrook is so spectacular! If you've ever got a backbulb... HAH!

Thanks, David. I have two divisions going (still small) but I want to divide that up again before giving it away. I'll put your name on it.

That’s half the reason I’m so excited to grow out my stuff - so I can share, too. We all win (and, if my plant bites the dust, at least someone else has a piece)!
