Cattleya Sapphirata coerulea (C./Lc. Canhamiana x C. maxima)
I found this today by the scent. I think it's been open for a few days; I've been doing chores outside recently. It has that sweet Cattleya aroma.
It came from Ecuagenera in March of 2021. The flower isn't huge, about 5 1/2 inches / 14cm, and the flower parts are held far forward. It is a much nicer shade of blue than my phone captures.
I'm growing it in a 1 quart/liter deli container in S/H.

It was outside much of the winter. I brought it in during a week when frost threatened. Then I put it outside until daytime temperatures climbed above about 38C, when I brought it in again.
It is next to a window in my sunroom where it gets several hours of direct morning sun. Relative humidity in there is 60% plus and there is strong air circulation, both from the evaporative cooler. It gets an automatic tap water spray every morning at 7:30. I fertilize it every now and then. I think it would flower better if I fertilized more regularly.

I don't try much outdoors when it gets really hot. I have a Cymbidium Milton Carpenter 'Everglades Gold' AM/AOS outside. We haven't had a very hot summer by our standards but the newest growth has gotten sunburned the past few days. I need to bring it into the sunroom.
