Default Phalaenopsis lueddemanniana var. ochracea

Here's a pretty rare form of a great Phal species, Phalaenopsis lueddemanniana var. ochracea.

It smells wonderful - a kind of citrusy, Lily of the valley-like scent.
Fairly easy to grow for those that want to give it a try, it's one of those species that blooms profusely year after year on the same spikes, and keeps sending more.

The colour and texture are incredibly hard to capture on camera (for an inexperienced photographer, at least), it is a tad more pastel purple near the center of the flower.
I'm sure Camille will do a fantastic job growing and shooting her own plant.

You beat me!! Looks like I lost our little bet.
Mine is in bud now, and in my plant's defense it has three spikes.

Fantastic blooms and photos, it looks great. I was surprised to see that it behaves differently from my standard lueddemanniana, which never blooms from brand new spikes, but a year later.

Tmoney, these are the plants we got through Mr.F's 'dealer', Michael.

Yay, what do I win?

Come on now, three spikes on a keiki? What are you feeding this plant? I'm really interested in seeing yours and comparing how they look.
Mine made 2 spikes and I broke the buds on the other one, it seems like it's making a keiki of its own instead of replacing them.

Normal luedde and this one are very different indeed. I also broke the buds on the keiki you sent me last year... It has only made roots so far, and is finally making its first leaf.

You'll be able to find pics of his plants, he posts on different places under the name of alba.men.

He sells most stuff here on eBay: alba.men sur eBay

I'll definitely get another ochracea from Cramer at some point though!

That is very pretty!

I always look forward to the fragrant blooms of my Lily of the Valley.
