yes, such nice ones to be had! our only truly outdoor orchid (that lives outside year round) is a dendro green surprise. it showed up early in this thread somewhere. but that is amazing because we have the mother plant down in our garden and we haven’t touched the thing since may...the absolute truth. and that thing is raging! it’s so green and healthy and it just hangs in a dense canopy all on its own. and we r talking rhienland germany, not exactly known for great weather....

paphiopedilum gratrixianum
hey there, ob!
wanted to share this one with ya'll, as its pretty cool! Tried some new photo things, and this is a stack as usual, but still need to keep improving the setup!
also, we got all silly and decided to start a youtube channel. here is a link to the video about this plant if you wanted more information.

it's paph season, apparently
paph philippinense alba, first of 2 flowers. but man, the hood is already browning after like a week!
https://youtu.be/BQFKwTN4vaI
and the thaianum finally opened as well. the ob advice was right, it did get a bit bigger in the end...but it's still a pretty small one
https://youtu.be/aC6n2XHlM5Q
edit> swapped out the picture of the thaianum with a new one that i tried to fix the white balance on. still it looks more purple blue than it should! oh well....

phal dragon heart
was gonna wait till all the blooms opened, but this year we never know if that is going to happen, hahahah!! so, here is the phal dragon heart. it is grown at our workplace and had 0 fertilizers over the past year and an inconsistent watering schedule. grown in full exposure directly in a west facing window. we like hybrid phals
PSA: be careful when transporting plants, as when i brought this home to do the vid and photoshoot i snapped off one of our oh so precious buds! se la vis

a couple things coming on now that spring is springing....
phal. yang yang supermodel opened up!
and two noid orchids that got us started in this whole thing
our noid phal, a true monster...
and an orange mini-cat. lesson learned with cattleyas, don't divide them into small groups when they are young! hahahah....this one finally bloomed again after over 2 years of recovery, so we are very happy with it....
hope everyone is starting to feel some sun and warm breezes!
