Anceps has this particularity... the blooms are covered in a sticky substance. In habitat it is supposed to be washed away by rain and humidity. I needed to mist the blooms as they start to open so that the flowers unfold.

Thanks for mentioning that rbarata. One of my anceps plants is currently developing a spike. Will monitor the situation.
