well, im seeing orchids everywhere i guess. the other day i was messing around with pinpoint refraction through a glass candlestick that i have. if you aren’t familiar with that technique you take a pinpoint of light and send it through glass which refracts the light.
then about 30 seconds in photoshop to invert the image and crop. the original image was taken all in the dark so the burst is white on a totally black background. i like this result better, and looked just like an orchid to me so i figured id throw you guys a curveball...

ill attach another image from the same session so you can see what the typical results look like. this image i wanted to turn into a rose flower, but i couldn’t really capture it the way i wanted so it’s just an abstract light photo
