I was on vacation for about 10 days, and the orchids had an orgy of blooming. First, the saddest part, the Stanhopeas. Stan. tigrina http://orchidcentral.org/Images/Zygo...%20tigrina.jpg (more red than nigroviolacea) and one of my Stan. nigroviolacea 'Predator' x self were just dead flowers, having been big, fat buds when I left. I caught just a bit of another Stan. nigroviolacea 'Predator' x self... past its prime, but I still got a day of fragrance.

Also a bit past its prime but still nice, Catasetum J&R Solar. Consolation, I will probably get another spike before the end of the season if history is any indication

See the Dendrobium forum to see Den. bensoniae in all of its glory.

First time blooming for me... Angraecum sororium. This is a big plant (some 2 ft./61 cm) tall in a 10 in./25 cm terracotta pot. It is super-fragrant at night.

Brassavola nodosa is just getting started - lots of buds to follow, and it will likely keep producing until the end of September, or maybe into October depending on the weather. I have found that it thrives when it spends winters in the greenhouse, and moves outside once the weather warms up. Fragrant at night.

Schoenorchis gemmata reminds me of Wisteria...

Brassia verrucosa - in a wood basket (used to be mounted), two nice spikes.

Rhyncholaelia digbyana, noted for the frilly, floofy lip that it imparts to Cattleya hybrids. (Used to be lumped with Brassavola that it looks nothing like, in hybrid names it's the "B" in Blc.)
