Yellows in bloom
Default Yellows in bloom

San Diego's been pretty overcast / drizzly this spring and all the warm yellows have been a welcome change in my backyard. I wanted to photograph all of them together and some are fading while some are still in bud.

The bees seem enthralled by the yellow blooms, going at them all day long. They don't seem to have any luck getting nectar though (As far as I can tell) !

Den. aggregatum
Den. Gatton Sunray
Den. hancockii
Eny. Golden Sunburst
Onc. sphacelatum

That is so nice. That has really brightened my day. Wonderful photo with a sea of yellow colour.

Thanks. I think my Den. Gatton Sunray is still a baby - these can become monstrous! Thankfully it's an outdoor grower for me.
