Here is my vanda. I boarded it with a commercial greenhouse this winter, it received great light but roots were terribly desiccated when I went to retrieve it. It looks purple in this light but usually has the typical blue you see. The background of my weeping European purple beech may be impacting how the blue appears on camera. Another cattleya in bloom as well. I don’t have the cat name handy now but can find and post if anyone is interested. A Hausserman’s cattleya.
Interesting to see a dark-colored Catt with such a long floral tube. I would be interested in finding the name if it's not too much trouble.
E.S. Is is Lc. Irene Finney ‘Spring’s Best’. I didn’t realize that feature was uncommon so that is good info to know. This is the most reliable cat bloomer I have. After getting through our dismal New England winters I am always surprised that it doesn’t forget to bloom in spring.
