Back at the lake in New Hampshire after a 2 day- 30 hours of driving summer migration from the Keys. Except for the lack of humidity here, the temps are about the same as what we left. Crazy warm here for May. Pulled in at 10 last night , stepped out of the car and we were welcomed back by the haunting calls of the loons. They are such awesome birds!
I just couldn't help myself and brought 2 of my orchids up here with me.
An old favorite (Catt. Mari's Song) that is strutting her best stuff evah!
Plus my personal favorite orchid which I have had for at least 10 years and has FINALLY bloomed for me.
3 spikes open, 3 to go so I'll re-post if they manage to all be open at one time. I present.....Aerides houlletiana! (I hope I can keep this plant healthy until I can get it safely back to where it wants to be!)
And between the 2 of them, the fragrance in the car over the past 2 days has been amazing.
I have to get my basement grow space here pulled together so I can go get my 4 plants a friend is babysitting that I ordered from J&L (includes my Phal. deliciosa project plant) plus I have a 4 plant delivery from Ecuagenera due the first of June. Just a little something to keep me entertained over the summer.
