Default Phalaenopsis (Sedirea) japonica 4n

This year she really put on quite a show.

From this tiny bud,

she produced this!

The first bud opened on 21th of March and started to fade this week. A bit more than a month of nice, spicy-citrusy fragrance!

Wowza! What are your growing conditions, if I may ask?

Hi Mountaineer370,

Nothing special, I keep her in the living room, at around 21-23 °C, misting every day in the growing season, every other week I also fertilise. It gets 14 hours of light, under 3500 K LED panel, around 12000 lux. Last year I had her on an East facing window but morning sun managed to make some holes in the new leaves, so I decided to move her under the artificial lighting. It was more of a trial, I didn't believe she'd like it, but I guess she does!

Thanks! Yours is gorgeous. I have one that is a younger plant than yours, I think. I purchased it two years ago, and it had not yet bloomed for the first time. It put out a spike with four flowers a little over a year ago, but I feel like I should be seeing a new spike by now for this year. I have very similar temps, but right now I only have my lights on twelve hours a day. I've been meaning to extend that but keep forgetting to reset the timers.

What a beautiful plant! Looks like it's very happy with its current living arrangements. Do you have a standard version to compare the 4N to?

I also have a 4N plant, purchased last year. I doubt I'll see flowers any time soon though as it's still a tiny little seedling.

No, unfortunately I only own this one. And a Minmaru cultivar, which I received yesterday. Was hoping to find Daruma, but then i saw this cute, round-leaved mini and settled for it instead.
