My Orchids are Calling
I'm still in NH but getting ready to head back to the Keys for the winter on Monday because most of the leaves are now laying on the ground and worst of all......., I saw snow last Friday night (GASP!).
My Keys neighbor sent a few pics from my shadehouse a couple days ago and now I can't wait to get there. She says the place has become a veritable jungle with the very wet summer they had. Here's a couple....1) Aerides (my favorite genus) lawrenceae first bloom seedling I got in Jan at the Tamiami show (last one I've been to) and 2) Ascda. Sweet Pea 'Ruby'. This is one of the first orchids I ever bought (from RF way back when Bob came to speak in NH) and it hasn't bloomed in 5 or 6 years. Happy to see it's back!
Anyway, driving down on Monday with about 20 new plants I've picked up over the summer and can't wait to get started.
