I posted this image in the catt section earlier, as I finally see this yellow flower mini-catt getting some colour around the lip perimeter. I was told that these yellows develop more red colours in the throat and have colour around the lip when the temperature becomes cold enough, or cold for long enough. We did get some cold temperatures for a while here in North Queensland - so it's good to see some of that colour in the lip. In the tropics here, the flower is supposed to be mostly yellow, and don't normally get the colouring around the lip apparently.
This flower started to open yesterday, and the photo was taken this morning. The column will eventually get some violet colour on it, so it won't remain white coloured. And the petals are currently light-yellow/bright yellow, but eventually becomes darker yellow with time. Very nice to share this pic in the blooms section too.
