here are the cards from the various vendors/growers i purchased plants from or just spoke to about something.
I will be posting more in the vendor feedback section as i get more knowledgeable about me new friends and see how the plant behaves after sale.
i will say that i was very disappointed with one plant as it was not a single plant but two divisions jammed in the same tightly packed sphag….
there was one other plant that was not fairly presented in its packaging but was still reasonable and the very very vast majority of the plants were amazing and very clearly well loved

I am still processing and repotting everything but my highlights are a really good sized Den goldschmidtatum (sp??) and a few very neat bulbophyllum including a grandiflora and a vaginatum and a large chliochista as well
I also bought as many affordable orchids that I could that I either did not recognize or had never seen anything like.

You did well!
One of my strategies is to have a link to orchidspecies.com as an app on my phone to make it easy to get to, to look up species that I'm unfamiliar with. The other is to have a list of my plants also on the phone (having occasionally bought something I already had... having been attracted to it in the first place, and also in the second place having forgotten about the first). Now you have to get ready for Redland in May (because by that time you'll certainly need more orchids)

I watched Orchid Diva (from YT) stream live from Tamiami, looked like a great show, loads of stalls jam packed with orchids and buyers, even had a open bar.
A few other YT orchid growers turned up and were featured on Diva's video.

hahaha this is SAGE advice--i had a total blunder...i bought two of the same plant at this show!!!
it was actually a lot less stupid than you might think...i was looking at the bare root divisions and they were in bins by type...i was , of course, inspecting every node and bract looking for active leads and finding plants in active growth!!! i got so carried away checking the plants that i forgot that people might put plants back in the wrong bin......yep, i thought it was one plant and did not even double check the tag....a$$hat, lol, it is myc ( or myv.) francis fox so i did not double up on a loser lol

I have done that too, and the list is no help since it's a new acquisition. (And remembering what is in my bags doesn't always happen) But then I figure, if I loved it so much that it jumped into my hands twice, good to have insurance...

Love those photos, thanks for sharing!! Those displays are so impressive, and it sounds like you had a great time (your wallet, perhaps not so much?).
I would love to be able to go to such large shows with so many displays and vendors, but the largest Dutch show is rather modest in size...

There was a bar there.
