Cattleya Bob Betts “ White Lightning”, each flower is 7”, spicy citrus fragrance. There were supposed to be 6 blooms, but one bud snapped inside the sheath right before opening. Buds were coming out so fast, it was unreal. This cattleya is a joy to own, so perfect in every sense.

In the meantime my plant produced 4 new leads, all with sheaths. I should be taking bets on the flower count this time, lol.

I assumed this because when repotting my cattleya I found both tags and assumed one was just a updated version

If you haven’t already, it’s worth reading the story of Bob Betts and it’s parent Bow Bells, and it’s parent Suzanne Hye which was lost to a U-boat during an attempt to keep it safe during WW2.

Very pretty. I like how the yellow is fairly contained on the lip. Also the frilled edges on the petals match the lip pretty closely without being to 'busy'.
