Wow, I just took delivery of my Acacallis cyanea from Seattle Orchids, and I'm in shock at how SMALL it is, and it has two spikes! Would you kindly share your care techniques and environment?

It sits under T12 at the end of the bulb. It needs lots of water. I mist mine 2xday and soak 2xweek. It is potted in bark, moss on top, plastic pot with drainage holes. You basically cannot overwater these plants. They are used to heavy rains and flooding

Cool, Ugh, getting confused, yes, mine is only in bark, I might repot it as it looks pretty old. It just seemed like there was plenty of room still for it. But if they really like being wet, I might add moss and fresh bark Thank you so much!

Today, it seemed not as happy as it was, and I read they like it warmer than it's been. I've put it with my phal gigantea on a heat mat, slightly elevated on a plate to keep it from getting too hot. Ugh, hope I don't hurt anything !

They are finicky plants, and that is why you do not see many of them. I would soak it overnight.
