Thanks for looking everyone! I love the little bit of 'fringe' on the lip (that was the main point of that first photo). I wonder what species that comes from? Al, I think you're right and that this is a cross very close to the species...

Hi Shakkai!
My friend just picked up a beautiful phal at her supermarket and it was in a clear pot inside another pot. We took out the clear pot and low and behold....the name was etched on the clear pot near the top of the rim. Check and see if yours has a name. Maybe yes, maybe no! Worth a try.
