Myrmecatavola Tiger Lily
The final word in outrageous orchid beauty. For now, anyway
Photo was taken at a local orchid nursery. It's not my plant, as it was too big to fit under my shirt.
The tag read Brassophila Tiger Lily. Anyone know if Myrmecatavola is the current name for this one?

Myrmecatavola Tiger Lily is Brassocattleya Richard Mueller (B nodosa x C milleri) x Myrmecophila tibicinis. And, you can REALLY see the Richard Mueller in that flower.
It looks like the Myrmecatavola name is accepted for a Brassavola × Cattleya × Myrmecophila cross. But, I'm not getting anything on Kew for the name Tiger Lily so it might not yet be registered. ?? Maybe? seems it's been around for awhile...I would've thought it would be registered by now so not sure what to make of that but yea, Myrmecatavola.
I don't know how much help that was. ?? Anyway...it's a great looking flower.
