Oncidesa Nanboh Waltz 'Boso Sweet' #2
I got a small lot of these, large plugs, about 3 years ago. After trading a couple, and one dying, I now have two of these. The other bloomed for the first time a few months ago. This one is now blooming for the first time. Spike on this one has fewer blooms than the other had, but I think the markings are nicer. This one was outside all winter while in spike, which is perhaps the reason for both the fewer blooms and nicer markings ? I also noticed a subtle, but nice fragrance on the other, but haven't noticed fragrance on this one - might have to check earlier in the day ...
Thanks for looking

Thanks Kim
Thanks Nenella This was formerly just Oncidium, but I guess one of the parents has been reclassified as Gomesa, so now it's Oncidesa

Very nice, the blooms are gorgeous and I love the short spike. The name is so weird that I really didn't know what to expect when clicking on this thread! Do you have a pic of the other plant for comparison?

Thanks
Yeah - I probably should have at least posted under Oncidium alliance.
Here's the other one in bloom in February - I was a bit disappointed as far as markings when this one bloomed, but still liked it. The one blooming now is much nicer in that regard. I don't know if the difference is from temps, or what ?

What a difference! Could be normal if they are seed grown plants, otherwise I know that growing plants cool and bright leads to more saturated colors that when it's warmer.
