Talking Pink NOID phal

Hi all, I have pictures of last year Pink NOID Phal that I obtained from Lowe's. I grew them in styrofoam peanut with an addition of sphagnum moss to retain moisture. I take credit for the flower because it flowered after several month of keeping it so....there . I ended up giving it to a closed friend for his B-day present. Pictures taken by me, camera: mug from another friend

That's me in the back ground

That is beautiful blackorchid!

Packing peanuts and sphag moss ei? never thought of that, what's the ratio ?
I ask beacause I am having a bit of trouble with a phal that refuses to grow into any media mix, bark, LECA, moss...

Priz

PS, yes the credit for the blooms is all yours

lol I fancied sphagnum moss for a while but it stayed too wet in my condition, therefore, I added styrofoam peanut in to help dry it off some what. Note that when I grew that orchid, I didn't have fan so the air is pretty much stagnant. With that method, I watered around once every 3 days in the summer, and once a week in the winter. It was one part sphagnum and one part peanut (slightly less moss). With clear plastic pot, I can tell just when I need to water.

Just be careful. Some folks like, Dorothy, are quick to jump on the "pink thing" They suggest all sorts of weird things. Check it out http://www.orchidboard.com/community...enisuzume.html I mean, can't a person like pink flowers? That's all I ask
